Southside International Church exists to glorify God by making Jesus known to the nations. We are a multicultural community of believers committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ, making disciples, and helping people grow in faith as they follow Him.
Located in the heart of Brisbane’s southside, our church family reflects God’s global kingdom, bringing together people from many nations, cultures, and generations to worship, serve, and share life together. Everything we do is shaped by our desire to love God wholeheartedly and to make His love known to others.
We seek to know God more deeply through worship, prayer, and faithful obedience to His Word.

Jesus summarised the Christian life with two great commands: to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. He also commissioned His followers to make disciples of all nations.
These two callings shape everything we do at Southside International Church. Whether we’re gathering for worship, serving our local community, supporting global mission, or welcoming people from many cultures into our church family, our desire is to live out Christ’s command with faithfulness, compassion, and joy.

Southside International Church has been serving Brisbane’s southside for many years with a heart for the Gospel and a passion for reaching people from every nation. As our local community has become increasingly diverse, so too has our church family. Today, people from more than 20 nationalities worship together each week, united by their faith in Jesus Christ.
While our church continues to grow and change, our purpose remains the same: to faithfully proclaim God’s Word, make disciples, and help people become mature followers of Jesus. We thank God for His faithfulness throughout our history and look forward with hope as He continues to build His church for His glory.
There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, sent to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement. He regenerates, indwells, guides, sanctifies, teaches, illuminates, imparts spiritual gifts and empowers the believer for service.
The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.
Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God, he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The portion of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment; and that of the believer, in everlasting joy and bliss.
Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, justified, sanctified, receive the gift of eternal life and become the children of God.
It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be totally sanctified being separated from sin and the world and being fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This experience is both a distinct event and a life-long process.
Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the Church in this present age.
The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the Gospel, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment.
The Lord Jesus Christ will come again. His second coming is imminent and will be personal and visible. As the believer’s blessed hope this vital truth is an incentive to holy living and faithful service toward the completion of Christ’s commission.
Southside International Church is a Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) of Australia. The C&MA is a worldwide movement committed to following Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit as we take God’s message of love, forgiveness and reconciliation to the whole world.
