Visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step, but we want you to know you’re genuinely welcome at Southside International Church. Whether you’ve been following Jesus for many years, you’re exploring the Christian faith, or you’re simply curious about who we are, we’d love to meet you.
Our church is made up of people from many different cultures, backgrounds, and stages of life, and we believe everyone has a place here. We hope this page answers some of your questions and helps you feel confident about what to expect when you visit. We look forward to welcoming you in person.
If you’re visiting for the first time, it’s natural to wonder what the experience will be like. Our Sunday gatherings are designed to help people worship God, grow in their faith, and connect with one another in a welcoming environment. Here’s what you can expect when you visit.
Our Sunday services are relaxed, friendly, and centred on Jesus. Each gathering typically includes singing together, prayer, Bible teaching, and opportunities to connect with others before and after the service. Whether you've been attending church your whole life or this is your first visit, you'll be able to participate at your own pace.
We enjoy contemporary worship that combines modern songs with timeless truths from Scripture. You'll find an atmosphere that is sincere, joyful, and focused on glorifying God rather than putting on a performance. Feel free to sing, listen, or simply observe—there's no pressure to participate beyond your comfort level.
Each week we open the Bible together and explore what it teaches about God, Jesus, and living as His followers today. Our teaching is practical, faithful to Scripture, and relevant to everyday life, with the goal of helping people know Christ more deeply and apply God's Word in their daily lives.
There's no dress code. You'll see people wearing everything from jeans and casual clothes to business attire. Come dressed in whatever makes you feel comfortable—we're much more interested in getting to know you than in what you're wearing.
Families are an important part of our church community. We want both parents and children to feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Age-appropriate children's programs are available during our services, led by caring volunteers in a safe and engaging environment. If it's your first visit, our welcome team will happily show you where to check in and answer any questions you may have. Children are always welcome in our main service as well, so please don't worry if you'd prefer to keep your family together.

One of the things people notice most about Southside International Church is the diversity of our church family. We are a community of people from more than 20 nationalities, united by our shared faith in Jesus Christ. While our cultures, languages, and life experiences may be different, we worship together as one family, learning from one another and celebrating the richness that God has brought together.
