Michael is a Reverend in the Baptist Church – he never calls himself Reverend, but it helps get respect at the doctors. 

Michael has been the sole pastor at Clemton Park Baptist Church for nearly 9 years. Before that he was a Community Services Pastor at Mortdale Oatley Baptist and Youth Pastor at Gordon Baptist for 5 years. Before that he spent 10 years in the disability sector in respite, recreation, and occupational services.

Michael has a passion for engaging and teaching. He has a keen desire to see people grow in their understanding, knowledge and desire of God.

He is married to his amazing wife Liz, and has three joyous and mischievous children – Sam(15), Josh(14) and Grace(11). As such he is a student of the so-called “skibidee” terminology favoured by the young. 

He has previously had his own radio program, been a DJ on a cruise liner, learnt the tambourine, and studied jazz ballet. He still blames his mum for the last two.

While he is not pastoring, he has a keen interest in pop culture, movies, television and Zelda on the Nintendo Switch – which he still hasn’t finished.

He has a flair for the creative and dramatic (see: jazz ballet) and loves writing and directing the annual Christmas play for his church. 

Michael is really looking forward to bringing the word to this year’s camp attendees; his message will be centered around the theme “Faith and Life”.
